Awa U. Awa          – DCR

The Plea  Bargain Department coordinates the processes that enhance effective application of Plea negotiations in the prosecution of criminal cases pursuant to Sec. 270 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA). It has two Units: 

1. REGISTRY: This Unit receives and register processes and other correspondences. Following this, they make necessary arrangements for transmission of these processes to the Neutrals.

2. MONITORING AND EVALUATION UNIT: They interface with the Prosecuting Agencies, the Defense and the Courts to ensure effective Plea negotiations.

The Department is headed by Awa U. Awa, Esq Director.
