The Duties of the Department are as follows:-

PROCESS UNIT

  • Registration and Processing of all case files
  • Execution of all Court Judgments and Orders of High Court, Magistrate and Area Courts
  • Payment of judgment debt into litigation account

LEGAL UNIT

  • Handling of all matter affecting the Court and Staff
  • Handling of Probate Matters, Judicial review of official matters of presiding Magistrates/District Court Judges and other interior Court and Tribunals
  • Verification of genuineness of property to be purchased by the organization and issuing report accordingly

APPEAL UNIT

  • They are vested with the responsibility of receiving and registration of all Appeals emanating from the decisions of High Courts, Magistrate Court and Area Courts
  • It co-ordinate appeals sessions from the decisions of the Magistrate/Area Courts to the High Court
  • It compiles and transmits record of Appeal emanating from the decision of the High Court to the Court of Appeal
