Following the approval of the President on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Walter Onnoghnen, GCON has sworn in seven (7) new Judges for the FCT High Court of Justice as follows:-

1. Hon. Justice Binta Mohammed

2. Hon. Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi

3. Hon. Justice Gaba Venchak Simon

4. Hon. Justice Babangida Hassan

5. Hon. Justice Akobi Iyabeni Anna

6. Hon. Justice Samirah Umar Bature

7. Hon. Justice Asmau Akanbi Yusuf

Pursuant to the provisions of Order 52 Rule 4 of the Rules of this Court, the Court will  proceed on her Annual Vacation beginning from Monday 9th July, 2018 to Friday, 7th September, 2018.

The Court will resume for the New Legal Year on Monday, 10th September, 2018

Further to the above, the Honourable Chief Judge has appointed the following Judges as Vacation Judges

It is imperative for Legal Practitioners to dress appropriately in a manner that promotes respect for the Legal Profession as well as enhance the dignity of Nigerian Courts. It is against this backdrop that the Hon. Chief Judge of the FCT, Hon. Justice I. U. Bello views with great concern, increasing cases of improper dressing by lawyers appearing before the Court in recent times.

Pursuant to Order 37 Rule (1) of the High Court of the Federal Capital Registry, Abuja (Civil Procedure ) Rules 2018, the Hon. Chief Judge Hon. Justice I. U. Bello has appointed four (4) Judges as Fast Track Judges to hear and determine Motions and Cases filed under Order 37 of the Rules
