The Department of Administration is responsible for the general Administrative functions of the Organization.
It is a Strategic Department saddled with the responsibility of ensuring efficient performance of the other departments and a link between senior management and employees. The duties of the department are carried out through its various units.
- Admin units in court complexes
- It Oversee the general maintenance of the Court Complex
- Supervise the activities of personnel and report general staff matters of the Courts under them to the headquarters
- Liaise with the head of Courts in all administrative matters.
- Any other assignment that may emanate from the Director Administration
2. Transport Unit
- In charge of he drivers/mechanics
- Responsible for safe keeping and maintenance of official vehicles
- processing of papers on newly procured official vehicles.
3. Estate Unit
- Responsible for the routine maintenance of all the Hon. Judges official residences, magistrate residences and court building
- Responsible for the supervision of capital projects undertaken by the management
4. Open Registry
- Take custody of all files (personal and subject)
- Receive and forward/application from staff
- Issuing various leave approval letters
- issuing of query as directed
5. Secret Registry/Records
- Responsible for the keeping confidential files and policy matters
- Handles upgrading of staff progression
- Documents and update staff records
6. Gazette Units
- Responsible for collection of Staff data employment, confirmation, promotion, discipline of official gazette and onward submission to the judicial Service Committee for final publication
7. Servicom Unit
- Help the Court discharge its mandate and facilitate the continuous evaluation and improvement of its program and activities.
- generally enhance service delivery by ensuring that the requirement of the public are met
8. Communication Unit
- In charge of maintenance of CCTV in all courts and Judges Official residence
- Installation and maintenance of office intercom.
9. Sanitation Unit
- In charge of general maintenance/cleaning of court offices and Judges Residences
- Supervise and Coordinate the activities of the external cleaning company
10. Data Base Unit
- In charge/maintenance of soft copies of staff records
- Insurance of staff identity card.
- Handle the achieve of personnel records
11. Clinic Unit
- Attend to Staff health matters
12. Appointment and Promotion
- In charge of staffing, interview, selection and employment of new staff
- handle promotion matters
- handle disciplinary matters of staff ensuring discipline of staff
- In charge of documentation of new employees of all grade level.
13. Pension Unit
- Handle Pension matters of staff (Retirement, death and Insurance)
- Liaise with Pension Administrators
14. Security Unit
- Maintenance general security of Court and Judges official residence.
- Supervision and Co-ordination of external security staff.
