Hon. Justice S.C. Oriji hails from Obio/Akpor Local Gov’t Area of Rivers State. He was called to Bar in 1990 and completed his National Youth Service the following year. He was in private practice of law from 1991 to 2003. He was appointed as a Judge in the FCT High Court, Abuja in 2003. He is married with children, and his hobbies include reading.
The FCT High Court as one of the Judicial body of the Federal Capital Territory Judiciary, is established by Section 255 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999. It is under the leadership of the Honourable Chief Judge who is also the Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Judicial Service Committee.
